Pink Ribbon Day - Friday 24th May
Emma John of Sisterhood of Style NZ was the guest speaker for our Pink Ribbon lunch, held at the BNZ Partners Centre in Highbrook.
Like a breath of fresh air, bouncing energy and full of inspiration, she chatted to us about her breast cancer journey and how she used the power of dopamine dressing to pull her through the challenge of going through chemo during COVID and the loneliness that entailed, and the desire to find out who she was when her body betrayed her.
Can you still dress with purpose and joy when trauma visits you? The answer is YES!
Emma shared her secrets so others could find hope in their own dark times. This was followed by a short presentation and Q&A with Dr Jayani Kannangara from Highbrook Medical who provided up-to-date information and guidance on breast education.
