Breakfast with Hon. Chris Bishop 1st October
On Wednesday 1st October, Business East Tāmaki hosted a well-attended breakfast at BNZ Highbrook featuring Hon. Chris Bishop, Minister of Transport, alongside Dean Kimpton, CEO of Auckland Transport, and Matt Zame, Project Director of the Eastern Busway. Minister Bishop spoke directly with our members about his vision for improving New Zealand’s transport outcomes, addressing key issues such as productivity, freight efficiency, transport-oriented development, congestion management, and the balance between local and central government decision-making. Dean Kimpton and Matt Zame also provided valuable updates on the progress of the Eastern Busway, highlighting its importance for the East Tāmaki business community. It was an insightful and engaging morning, offering members the opportunity to hear first-hand from leaders shaping the future of our transport network.
Special thanks for the sponsor RSM New Zealand, and all those who attended.
