As our Payroll Specialist, you will report to the Remuneration and Reward Manager and work alongside passionate HR professionals at our Support Office to ensure our weekly payroll runs smoothly and complies with all relevant policies and legislation. This role combines technical payroll accuracy with a strong service mindset, and offers opportunities to contribute to broader People & Culture initiatives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing and processing weekly payroll using MYOB PayGlobal as scheduled
  • Ensuring all updates are accurately reflected in the payroll system, either manually or via HRIS integration
  • Managing time and attendance data, including leave applications and allowances
  • Generating and distributing weekly payroll reports to the wider business
  • Resolving payroll-related queries with a people-first, solutions-focused approach
  • Supporting the Remuneration & Reward Manager when required

What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in a payroll role, ideally within a People or HR team
  • Practical knowledge of the NZ Holidays Act and payroll-related legislation
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality and integrity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - you're approachable and people trust you to get it right
  • Experience with MYOB PayGlobal is beneficial, but not essential
