

Inventory and Purchasing Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Inventory and Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. As a vital member of our organisation, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to optimise inventory management and achieve budgeted targets. This role is based in East Tamaki, Auckland, at our Head Office and National Distribution Centre. We supply to 20+ Franchises and 65+ Mobile Service Vehicles across New Zealand.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently control inventory and purchasing processes to meet targets
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and maintain strong relationships
- Utilise problem-solving skills to offer creative solutions and enhance operational efficiency
- Create and review local and international purchase orders
- Contribute to the overall success of Pirtek New Zealand by ensuring excellent control of inventory processes
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant technical background or qualification in engineering
- 2-3 years of proven experience in inventory and purchasing within a FMG environment
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English are essential for this role
- Proficient in using computer systems and software
- Familiarity with products used within the Hydraulic Hose and Fittings industry is an advantage
