About the Role
You will be the main point of contact for internal and external customers, facilitating and aiding with continuous production process improvements, training and manufacturing development for Altus and our Fabricator Network.
In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing, developing and improving existing production processes
  • Coordinating production process improvements and manufacturing developments
  • Carry out regular fabricator visits, carry out factory audits and maintaining effective manufacturing KPI's. Provide and recommend factory layouts to optimise production using Lean management principles
  • Provide Onsite training for fabricators including assisting with Fabricator BCITO (apprenticeship) training and development programs
  • Design, procure and test new jigs and tooling for on-sale to ensure our fabricators receive cost effective tooling to enable them to competently manufacture our suite of residential and commercial products

About You
Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator who has experience and a strong knowledge of aluminium joinery and manufacturing. To be successful in this exciting new role, you will:

  • Have an understanding of AutoCAD/other CAD packages
  • Be available to travel regularly during the week
  • Have strong technical product knowledge
  • Understand manufacturing processes including LEAN management
  • Be physically fit as this is an active role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of applicable elements of the NZ Building Code clauses and relevant standards
