EmpowHer Network Presents: Q&A with Georgia Patten – The Bored.George Story

We are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive Q&A session with Georgia Patten, the Owner and Director of Bored.George.

At just 27 years old, Georgia has already established herself as an award-winning New Zealand entrepreneur, podcast host, and speaker. In just four short years, she has transformed Bored George from a passion project into a booming full-time business. Her fashion-forward sunglasses are now available in over 90 stockists across New Zealand and Australia.

Join us as Georgia shares her journey, insights, and the challenges of building a successful brand from the ground up. Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur or a fan of innovative fashion, this event is not to be missed!

More about Georgia:
Georgia has also been acknowledged by the business community, winning most outstanding established business at the David Awards last year. She was also a finalist for best emerging business in the 2 Degrees Business Awards in December. More recently she was the winner of the first-ever NZME’s Next Podcast Network Star winning a competition through radio station ZM to launch her very own podcast. Bored to Boss – Business Stories with Georgia, produced through ZM’s Podcast Network, has consistently rated in the top 5 business podcasts in New Zealand since its launch in July 2024.

Bored George’s remarkable growth has been evident thanks to Georgia’s resilience and ability to understand the market, with a rapid increase in stockists from 28 in March 2022 to over 90 in October 2023, including esteemed retailers like Flo & Frankie,  Smith and Caugheys, Max Fashion, Sills and Co, and Repertoire. Georgia has also achieved an impressive 82.6% revenue increase over the past financial year for Bored George, with a staggering 1120.29% growth compared to two years ago.
