Mental Health First Aid 31 Oct
This subsidised half-day training course gives you the skills and knowledge to recognise and respond to someone experiencing mental health concerns. Almost half of the people in Aotearoa, New Zealand will experience mental distress or illness in their lifetime, so chances are someone you know or care about may need help. How you respond may determine how quickly a friend, work colleague or loved one gets the help they need.
Recognise and provide mental health first aid including how to:
- Understand the relationship between mental health and distress
- Understand ways to manage your own mental health
- Know and use the Listen to your HEAD Action Plan in a non-crisis and crisis situation
- Identify when a person may be experiencing a mental health crisis
- Identify agencies who can help and /or know how to get immediate assistance if necessary
- Understand the importance of self-care.

Refund policy: BusinessET offers a full refund if the booking is cancelled in writing at least 48 hours before the event. If the cancellation is received after this deadline a refund will not be offered. BusinessET reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrolment or other exceptional circumstances. In such circumstances, all participants will be offered a full refund. If an event is postponed, BusinessET will give participants the option of transferring to the new date or receiving a full refund.
