Breaking Barriers: Advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace

Overview: This subsidised workshop aims to equip small business owners and employees with essential knowledge and practical strategies for creating an equitable environment. Participants will explore key concepts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and learn how to promote and embed a diverse and inclusive workplace. 

1. Understanding DEI:

  • Define diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Recognise the importance of embracing diversity in the workplace.
  • Explore the impact of biases and stereotypes on inclusivity.

2. Designing an Inclusive Workplace:

  • Learn how to create policies and practices that promote equity.
  • Understand the role of leadership in championing DEI efforts.
  • Develop strategies to address barriers faced by underrepresented groups.

3. Reporting, Measuring and Promoting DEI:

  • Understanding your DEI metrics.
  • Reporting on your DEI journey.
  • Strengthening your employer brand.
