This role will be interesting and challenging; you will have the opportunity to contribute to the business in a practical way while learning. As an Apprentice Mechanical Engineer, you will receive on the job training and support, attend block courses, and complete assessments as you work towards completion of your Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (level 4) and develop a rewarding career. 
While you remain employed by Facteon, we will pay for your training. In return, you will be required to participate fully in all training opportunities and make timely progress increasing your skills throughout the four-year apprenticeship.
While you will learn general engineering skills, the main focus of this apprenticeship will be on machine building and commissioning.

  • achieved NCEA Level 2 (or equivalent)
  • a good understanding of Maths and Science 
  • completion of technology subjects at school
